Well Informed in Budapest 2007

Hello from Absolute Walking Tours. It has been a busy season but we have some new news. The local tourism authorities have released the "Well-informed in Budapest" booklet which contains all necessary information and advice to tourists to avoid some dangerous places and situations during their stay in Budapest with new updates and re-edited. This is the third edition of the booklet and they have published it in 210,000 copies. It contains useful telephone numbers (emergency services, information offices) and service contact details, plus it presents the essentials of Budapest's public transportation system, money exchange tips, Budapest restaurant lists, taxis companies in Budapest and parking tips.
You can find
this publication at Tourinform offices, some major attractions / sights, in some hotels and other accommodation providers. Also this year the Budapest Police Force is distributing the five-language guide at some key points they set-up for tourist services during the busy summer season.
We hope this great news is helpful and if you need or have any questions regarding our tours or Budapest just email us and we can help.
All the best,
Ben

Walking is the best way to see the city!

Hello Walker, Strollers and those that like a little foot action while sightseeing!
Today we launched our first blog to start the 2007 season with more up to date info on us, the city and events around it. With the warm weather we expect more people to get off the bus and walk with us. Hear the stories you won't get while sitting in a traffic jam. Listen to innovative speeches about the Hungarians, their culture and the funny things that surround this odd little country stuck in the middle of Europe. Ask questions, get real and honest answers in small groups and discover the best way to see Budapest, on foot!
Hope to see you in 2007!
